Purchasing a License

The CoverageMeter license is restricted to a single user. A permanent and valid email address is necessary to purchase a license. This email address cannot be modified after.

Do not use a temporary or dummy email address for purchasing a license: this address is used for sending you the activation key if the license becomes inactivated or if you want to install it on an other computer. In other words, the email address is the dongle.

License Agreement

                       CoverageMeter

                    *** License Type ***

CoverageMeter is licensed to a single user. This applies
to those who will be using CoverageMeter in a
non-commercial or commercial environment. A valid and
permanent email address per user is required.  

                   *** Permitted Use ***

 - Use the software and its documentation per License
   purchased.
 - Make a single archival copy of the software for
   backup purposes.
 - Compile your own software and redistribute it.
  
                   *** Prohibited Use ***

 - Remove or obscure any copyright or trademark notices.
 - Modify binary code.
 - Make copies of the software, except for archival
   purposes.
 - Rent, lease, sublicense, lend or transfer the
   software, documentation or unlock codes.
 - Create or redistribute codes.
 - Redistribute any code generated by CoverageMeter to an
   user/customer who has not purchased a valid
   CoverageMeter license.
  
                        *** Term ***

This License Agreement is effective from the day you
first use the software and remains in effect until this
License agreement is terminated.
  
                      *** Remedies ***

If you breach this License Agreement, CoverageMeter
Software Factory may terminate the License by notifying
you in writing. You may be required to return all
software, software copies, and related materials to
CoverageMeter Software Factory.  CoverageMeter Software Factory
may also exercise its other statutory rights. 
  
                   *** License Check ***

CoverageMeter can suspend the license and switch to the
evaluation mode automatically and request an
identification by email.  Once the identification process
has succeeded, the license is reactivated.

                      *** General ***

This agreement represents the entire agreement between
you and CoverageMeter Software Factory regarding the
software, documentation and codes. This agreement
supersedes all prior agreements. This License may be
modified by CoverageMeter Software Factory.  If any
provision of this agreement is unlawful, void, or for
any reason unenforceable, it shall be deemed as separate,
and shall in no way affect the validity or
enforceability of the remaining provisions of this
agreement.  This agreement shall be governed by French law,
and all recognized international treaties or
conventions. You acknowledge that you have read and
that you fully understand every provision of this
agreement.
  
                  *** Limited Warranty ***

COVERAGEMETER IS PROVIDED AS-IS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY
KIND.  THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE RESULTS AND
PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE IS ASSUMED BY THE USER.
COVERAGEMETER SOFTWARE FACTORY DOES NOT WARRANT, GUARANTEE,
OR MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING THE USE OF,
RESULTS OF, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
USE OF THE PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PRODUCT PROVE
DEFECTIVE, YOU (AND NOT COVERAGEMETER SOFTWARE FACTORY)
ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING,
REPAIR OR CORRECTION. FURTHERMORE, COVERAGEMETER SOFTWARE
FACTORY DOES NOT WARRANT, GUARANTEE, OR MAKE ANY
REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING THE USE OF, OR THE RESULTS OF
THE USE OF THE PRODUCT IN TERMS OF CORRECTNESS,
ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, CURRENTNESS, OR OTHERWISE; AND
YOU USE THE PRODUCT AND RESULTS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN
RISK.  COVERAGEMETER SOFTWARE FACTORY WILL NOT BE LIABLE
FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SYSTEM
DAMAGE, SERVICE, REPAIR, CORRECTION, LOSS OF PROFIT,
LOST SAVINGS, OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL,
OR SPECIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER RESULTING
FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT.

                     *** Exceptions ***

On Linux, CoverageBrowser and the Execution Agent are
released under GPL license. CoverageBrowser is linked against
libcsmes which is not free (under CoverageMeter license).
